You are your own source of Happiness-

Our Elders used to say “You are your own source of Happiness, you actually don’t need the support of people in order to be happy". Why do we often forget this line given to us by our elders, maybe because we get too involved in finding happiness in the outer world that we neglect the power of inner joy? Having supportive friends, family and dates are required, as we are here in this world to build valuable relationships and associations.

At the same time, we also have to remember that there will be times when you will be alone. You will be left without support, friends, even your own family member will not be of much help to you. These are the times when your true inner self needs to be awakened & valued more than external people. Times like these are really important as they take us closer to self-realization. We become more self-aware when we are the loneliest.

You can be a source of inspiration to others-

Lord Krishna states “As a Leader does, so does the follower".

A leader is someone who shows us the way ahead. He is like a pathfinder in our life, constantly taking the trouble to clear our road. Lord Krishna is the pathfinder for Arjuna in the great war. A great leader could be just about anyone, your friend, your father, your mother, your teacher, your brother or sister.

You can be the next greatest leader the world has ever seen, How? by knowing who constitutes a good leader. One who guides you in any manner is a leader. A mentor could also be termed a leader. But what makes a leader so inspiring that others tend to follow him? What is the key ingredient that makes a leader an invaluable source of inspiration? Is it his actions or his charm or his behavior?

I would say everything about a leader counts. However, a leader’s actions are the most visible to others. As usual, the followers tend to follow in the footsteps of a leader. A good leader will not sit in a corner and give orders for the sake of leading. He will make himself a living example of excellence. He will first work, work hard, and smart. He will generate merit for his work not because he loves showing off because he loves his work. Sensing his merit others will follow his path.

You too can be a leader, a mentor, or a guide to someone who needs true guidance. You can expand your horizon to the masses, you can help others fix an issue faced by them for a long time. You can be a source of light for them in the times of darkness. You are not an extraordinary human nor do you have superpowers.

We feel limited by our mind, learn to control our mind & channel it on the greater good. You are doing your duty in such a manner that not just you, also everyone around your benefits from your work. This can be termed as a Wealth Mindset. You growing yourself as well as others at the same time.

You are not this Frugal Body-

Remember what Lord Krishna said, You are not this body, you are a soul (pure energy). You are beyond anxiety, depression, love, hate, sadness, loneliness, victory, failure, poverty, disease.

You are pure energy (Atman). This you have to realize and face every boulder thrown at you. These boulders are meager in front of you because they are just mirror reflections of who you are not.

Have a giving attitude-

Lord Shri Krishna clearly states in the Bhagavad Gita, be a giver, not a seeker (Only seek knowledge)

The Need Mindset is like a double-edged sword. It will not just kill you but also the one from whom you are expecting something.

When you become needy for anything, that thing will not come to you but you will keep running behind it. In the process, you will then completely lose yourself.

Needy to have a girlfriend? Where will it lead you? It will lead you to ask out, going on a date, experiment, impressing, spending, a sure shot eventual breakup.

Needy for goods? where will it lead you? It will lead you to EMI’s, excessive depression & anxiety.

In totality, Need is bad stuff. It can be considered a liability in financial terms rather than an asset. When you have a needy tongue, rare will be the times when you will actually provide.

Providing seems like a liability to many people, when in actuality, providing could be considered one’s greatest asset.

Only when you have an excess of something will you be able to provide.

So the underlying assumption here is giving rather than taking. When you have a giving mentality, although you might be lacking that true giving aspect. At least you are attracting the giving energy. When you keep on asking or expecting, you only invite the lacking energy.

That means you are lacking something. Could be money, motivation, people, or knowledge.

The need mentality is like a bane, we need this, we need that. We want this we want that.

Our wants and needs never show a stop. After getting one item we jump on to another.

This keeps on going till we realize these wants and needs never end. By the time the realization clicks us we have already been buried in the sand.

The secret to richness in life is having a ever giving attitude.
